Another "Birds Eye" View of Santa Cruz: 1888-89

Progressing through an examination of "Six panoramic views of Santa Cruz", produced between 1870 and 1906, a new page 52 (see also "History Pages - Table of Contents" link at left) looks at the fourth of those six. The "birds eye view" was published as a color lithograph in February 1889, purporting to show Santa Cruz (not very accurately) as it looked in the fall (or late summer) of 1888. It is useful, however, in showing some of the many changes since the previous such panoramic view was published in 1877.
